DEALING WITH ANGINA

Angina is a heart pain caused by lack of oxygen, due, in turn, to partially blocked coronary arteries feeding insufficient blood to the heart. it must be distinguished from the pain of indigestion, which is similar in its effects but which is relieved by antacids. Chest pain can also arise from chest wall itself, and from the lungs and the pleural membranes during chest infection.

In the herbal medicine, angina can be solved by foot and hand baths daily containing 2 crushed heads of garlic, and one handful each of hawthorn flowers, broom flowers and celandine leaves steeped in 31/2 pt (2 liters) of warm water. Another is an infusion of a pinch each of marjoram, mint and sage to cupful of water.

Angina can also be solved by dance therapy. This is a gentle exercise directly beneficial to the heart and blood vessels and to emotions. Just 15-30 minutes of dancing will be enough to make the blood vessels flow well in our bloodstreams.
